Phoenix: Interior Art Preview!

Have a look at this great feature by Dave McKean on The Guardian about his current work, which includes one of his amazing illustrations from my new book Phoenix:

    Wow, I love it! Such a dramatic change in style from the illustrations in varjak paw. Sometimes it's easy to forget that most artists don't draw in the same exact style each time.
    I hope the art is a good match for the book, and I'm really looking forward to reading it when I have a chance.

      Yay, I'm so glad you like it, Jade! I hope all Varjak Paw fans will like it too - as you say, it's a different style, but I feel it's perfect for the book. Dave is such a brilliant artist; I think he's really produced something awe-inspiring with this one...
